They are pragmatically designed, with plenty of space behind the doors and some extra room provided by the drawer on the bottom. The antique brass hardware plays off the crackle beautifully, and is one-of-a-kind. The hinges are actually in front of the piece, and the main doors are kept closed by a swinging latch.
