This elegant tansu chest is comprised of two separate pieces handcrafted out of the light yet sturdy Kiri wood, long cultivated in its native Japan for its light weight, strength and resiliency.
Kiri's dramatic grain and unstained beauty are subtly accented by hand-forged hardware. The locking plates are engraved with a delicate leaf design and the hardware borders continue this motif.
This versatile tansu is ideal as a drawer chest in the bedroom and can also be separated using the ring lifts on either side. Place the two pieces back to back for use as a functional and beautiful coffee table.
