A glass top sits above a copper-lined pit — perfect for showcasing small collector’s items without breaking the look and practicality of a full tabletop.

The small drawers below are another classically Japanese feature — elegant and useful while unobtrusive.

Available in Elm or Gingko wood with your choice of stain and hardware.

History

The designs for our coffee tables were inspired by classic pieces used in the kitchens and living spaces of traditional Korean and Japanese homes.

The Hibachi Table was a staple in every Japanese home and was the centerpiece to the kitchen. Essentially a "fire pit table” it was primarily used for heating water for tea. It also acted as a sort of coffee table in that it was a gathering place for family conversations, especially at nights and in the winter.
