This fascinating antique screen is a wonderful conversation piece.
Constructed of solid Elm wood, each of its 4 panels feature elegant hand-painted flower arrangements.
The highlight of the screen however, is the communist propaganda. Each panel features a unique piece of historical propaganda on a thin red lacquer board.
In case this screen's previous owners had particularly sensitive guests over, a latch at the back of the screen would allow that board to slide behind the screen.
This hidden system makes for a great story, and is also visually interesting when dividing space.
