The Mizuya Island combines the beauty of traditional Japanese craftsmanship with the practicality of a utility island.

Made from solid beams of reclaimed hard wood, its sliding doors and drawers are accessible from both sides, making it a unique and practical kitchen island.

You can also turn it into a practical dining / bar area by adding an overhang countertop.

The solid wood kitchen islands are available in several different layouts for various-sized kitchens. And if you have unique needs we can custom build and design your piece.

Like all our pieces it is available in your choice of Gingko or Elm wood, 6 stains and 5 different hardware options.
Our inhouse carpenter can also retrofit your island -- if you need a hole for a sink, custom shelving, or anything else, just let us know.

Flexible furniture for a flexible lifestyle

The guiding element behind all our furniture is flexibility – that’s why all our designs are based on stand-alone pieces that work beautifully together.

Our Mizuya Cabinets are two-piece modular units – stack them or separate them, the choice is yours. You can have them custom-made, mix-and-match them with other designs, and order single modules as islands, counters, or hanging cabinets.

Because they are unfitted you can move them around and adapt them for any purpose. So 10 years down the road, if you feel like a change you can move the cabinet to the bedroom as a wardrobe – or if you buy a new home, you can take them with you when you move.
