This antique console from Harbin China is much more then meets the eye. At first glance it is a powerful piece with a small storage space in the center, but much more is hidden away.
The doors in front do open to reveal a space for storage, but what is really unique is that the front panels on either side slide outward to reveal a substantial space within. The notch on which these doors run has been incorporated into the design in a way that adds to its commanding presence.
Simple and stately brass handles adorn the door, a subtle accent that balances the thick solid Elm wood .
