With thick solid wood construction and a vibrant red patina, this beautiful sideboard is sure to make an impression.
It was crafted by an artisan in the early 1900's, and has a patina that truly shows its age and character. Constructed from thick solid Elm beams that are nearly 8 ft. wide, is was built to endure centuries of use.
The sideboard also has unique proportions. At 30" high it is shorter than most sideboards, which lets it show off its fabulous tabletop. And at 17.5" deep it is ideal for long narrow spaces.
The three interior compartments are split by removable shelves and are accessed by 6 doors which are fitted with simplistic iron pulls

Sideboards are multi-functional pieces of furniture. The traditional use is in the dining room, but they can be used in many other ways.
One popular modification is turning a sideboard into a vanity. Many of these have a design that would permit plumbing to be installed and a bowl sink on top. Instead of the cookie-cutter fixed cabinets you can have a beautiful antique or contemporary piece in your bathroom.
A hall or entranceway is another ideal place for a sideboard, as it provides added storage and display possibilities. The same can be said for the kitchen where storage and surface space is at a premium.
