Antique Tea Chest

This antique Japanese Cha-Dansu (tea chest) is delicately crafted from Keyaki wood. A truly unique piece, it features a variety of storage and display options.
Drawers in the lower half open using hand-forged iron warabite pulls, revealing a beautiful contrast between exterior and interior stains. Three sets of sliding doors offer storage for larger items, and each set has its own unique features: Keyaki burl inlays, curved doors and a powerful vertical Keyaki grain.
Another unique feature of this piece is the delicate S-curve shelf in the middle compartment. This is offset by the beautiful organic cutaway design in the back of the piece.
