12 Calendars for 2012

Mountain Calendar by pamlostracco

Don’t worry, we’re not actually done with 2011 yet. Thankfully there are still a couple more months to go, but I couldn’t wait to show you some of next year’s calendars. Many of these are artist designed and made, and all combine function, good looks and great design, like the mountain calendar pictured above.

snug studio calendar by snugstudio

This poster calendar by snug studio is a modern design-lovers dream. Typography is so on trend right now and this is a quick way to add some graphic appeal to your home.

Cut out Calendar by Present and Correct

The Cut Out Calendar features an individual page for every month. The simple graphic design is wonderful and if you wanted you could hang up all twelve at once for an extra large full year calendar.

Best Year Ever by spread the love

Spread the Loves Best Year Ever calendar is back and this time it also comes printed on wood in four different colours. This was one of my favourites last year for it’s optimism and folksy charm.

Frankie Calendar via eat drink chic

I was delighted when I found this calendar put out by Frankie Magazine because it features many of my favourite contemporary illustrators and artists; including the black apple, Ashley G and Sarah McNeil.

paper thieves via design sponge

The Paper Thieves new crest calendar is gorgeous. Love the plywood with cutout polar bear and I also like the tear-off pages. I imagine it would be easy enough to replace the calendar portion, making it usable for many years to come.

Calendar Wall Art by bookhau at home

If I had to pick a favourite of the year this linen calendar by bookhauathome might be it. It’s functional art that adds simple elegance to any room in your home.

Nikki McClure at Buy Olympia

Nikki McClure is back with another stunning calendar this year. Her papercuts are absolutely mind boggling and I like how she pairs them with inspirational words.

Tea Towel Calendar by avril loretti

I think I’ve mentioned before on the blog my appreciation for designer tea towels. This calendar by avril loretti is much too pretty for drying pots and pans but hung up in the kitchen it is bold, cheery and practical.

leah duncan calendar via things we make

I adore Leah Duncans art. Her organic shapes and gentle colour palette are incredibly peaceful. This year her calendar gives you twelve equally gorgeous illustrations that will beautify your walls.

printable animal calendar by loopzart

Here’s one you can purchase, print and hang straight away. Loopzarts simply designed calendar features a year’s worth of cute animal faces.

bubble calendar at perpetual kid

You know that satisfying feeling of popping the little bubbles on bubble wrap? Well now you can experience that satisfaction every day of the year. The bubble calendar is a clever and fun approach to the wall calendar that may possibly drive everyone in your office crazy.

I swear, every year the selection of designer and artist rendered calendars keeps improving. Do you have a favourite?

Happy Friday Everyone!

I love calendars but always have a hard time just picking just one (and so I often end up with more than I have walls for). I saw that bubble calendar at the Museum of Contemporary Art when I was in Chicago last week and was tempted but I don’t think I can pop just one bubble a day. I LOVE that dish towel but also that cut out calendar….darn, the trouble begins!
