Eight Great Sofas to suit (almost) any Budget and Style

Choosing a sofa can be one of the most difficult decisions to make when it comes to decorating your home. A sofa is often the anchor to the living room or family room, and because it’s a piece of furniture you will most likely use every day, many of us take an extra long time picking out the perfect one. Today we’ve rounded up eight choices that we believe are great looking and able to suit most budgets and tastes.

Chesterfield Sofa- canvas

Romantic

This sofa by Canvas is gorgeous, featuring sultry curves and feather stuffing. The dove grey colour would fit in perfectly in a traditional or contemporary setting, and the slightly rumpled feel makes it quite inviting.

Spenser Loft Bi-Sectional- Gus Modern

Plenty of Room

If you have a lot of space, and a large family, a sectional is a great way to make sure there is a seat for everyone on movie night. The tufted cushions on this sofa also keep it looking polished and contemporary.

Filo sofa via freshome

Avant-Garde and Playful

I saw this couch on Freshome a while back and it still makes me smile. How often do you wish you could swap out the upholstery on your sofa? This one lets you do it as often as you like; just peel back a layer or two and you have an instant new look.

Amelie sofa- Anthropologie 3,298

Eclectic

If you’re looking for a statement sofa the Amelie sofa from Anthropologie may be for you. With curvy lines and a linen-print upholstery inspired by vintage French wallpaper, this sofa is definitely for someone with a flair for the dramatic.

Abbott Sofa- Jayson Home & Garden

Rugged

A sofa in soft worn leather is rugged and manly while still being classic and sophisticated. This one from Jayson Home & Garden is upholstered in cigar leather and is finished with antique brass nailheads.

Clarke Sofa- Room and Board

Tailored

A tailored sofa can go a long way towards making a living room feel neat and polished. This particular model from Room and Board comes in a number of colours, but my favourite is this ink blue model, because it’s muted enough to act as a neutral.

FAVN sofa by Fritz Hansen via Contemporist

Contemporary

the FAVN sofa has everything going for it: a contemporary designer, an inviting shape and availability in an exciting range of colours. This beautiful sofa is the result of a collaboration between Fritz Hansen and Jaime Hayon.

Karlstad Sofa- Ikea

Budget Friendly

If spending a small fortune on a new sofa isn’t an option, Ikea’s popular Karlstad comes in some new fabric choices including this one called Isunda Gray. Great lines, chrome feet and a roomy amount of seating make this couch a great option for a fraction of the price of similar styles.

That’s it for our sofa roundup. Do you have a favourite?

I’m partial to the sofa by Canvas. But I also long for a lifestyle which would
    allow for a chaise longue…
